Car Title Loans in Wauconda

Friday, January 30th, 2009

I’m dating a philosophy professor from Beloit College. And one weekend we were camping in Wisconsin (philosphy professors do that), and I asked her if at the feast of ego, is it true that everyone leaves hungry.

She told me that was for the guys over in Psyche.  Silly me, I got my degree in accounting.

Which is kinda funny considering how I ran into a bill paying problem last year. I was in the process of selling one house and buying another, using money from the first to, of course, pay for the new place. Except you have to come up with earnest money – a month before the closing of the sale of the first home – in my case it was 20% of the cost of the home.  Big bucks.  I had some stashed away in other places, but was short about $6000.

So what did I do? I took out a car title loan.  Yeah, me.  But you do it all online now, so it’s pretty simple and no one sees you doing it (my feast of ego). I went to Wauconda Title Loans and got the money in a day.  My realtor laughed when I told her how I did it.  Then she went and got one too to cover a medical expense.

By the way Wauconda is near Valley Gardens, Holiday Hills, Island Lake, North Barrington, and Tower Lakes.

Car Title Loans in Hawthorn Woods

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

That’s something my father taught me years ago. I’ve never felt the need to be first. Just be the smartest.

Which is not a common approach here in Hawthorn Woods, where you have a lot of people used to winning. It got particularly difficult during my divorce, when it seemed the walls were crashing in and I wasn’t sure where I’d find money for the heating bill a few times. Things were tied up in court for months and while I knew everything was going my way in the long run, I found myself literally looking for money for food.

So I talked to my sister who has gone through her own challenges. She said one of my most usable assets is my car – my Mercedes – which I could use for a car title loan. I thought she was crazy at first because no way was I going to go to a scary store where you talk to someone through bulletproof windows. She laughed and told me about online car title loans, specifically at Hawthorn Woods Title Loans, where you do everything from your personal computer. Perfect – I filled out the forms and got my money the next day.

Just two months later I had full title on my house, a monthly alimony check and that title loan was paid off quite easily. It was a terrific bridge loan.

By the way Hawthorne Woods is near Lake Zurich, Barrington, Wauconda, Mundelein, and North Barrington.
