I got a phone call from my only son, Steve, a few weeks ago telling me that he got arrested and was in jail. He had bond court the next morning, so I showed up. I felt like I had to, I couldn’t just leave my son in jail, you know? No matter what he did, I couldn’t just let him sit in there. I didn’t feel right about it. So I showed up at his bond hearing, and they said the amount of money I had to post for him to be released - it was outrageous! I couldn’t believe how high it was.
