My kids come home from school with some things you don’t want to know.  Just yesterday, my darling Jason told me that the average chocolate bar has eight insects’ legs in it.

I needed to go on a diet anyway. One day last year he came home with something worse, a cast on his leg from an accident at school. We don’t have health insurance so it was an expense we didn’t need at a time when we’re not so sure about money anyway. The total bills came out to $1100.

My husband said we had to pay it somehow and I agreed. Down at DeKalb Medical Center they did give him care without any insurance or money on the spot, but I think we were lucky about that. He needed to get his leg fixed right away, he was in a lot of pain.  It broke my heart.

So we found a way to come up with the money. My husband said the car was paid for, that we could go to a car pawn store. I didn’t like it, so I went on the internet and found Car Title Loans in Fort Payne instead. They took our information on the computer and we got our cash in a few days. Now we can pay that off on our schedule.

Less stress, and now, no candy bars.
