$700 from Car Title Loans in Arab made up for missed buckshot

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

I just read the other day that 35% of the people who use personal ads for dating are already married. Boy, that makes you think.

I would give this option more serious thought if my husband didn’t come through for me last year. This all started as his fault, but he redeemed himself. He had never gone hunting but a friend of his at work did, so he got all fired up about deer season. He told me how if he got his two buck or doe maximum, we’d have free meat to eat all winter. Well, after he went out and bought the gun, went to shooting practice, then they booked that trip downstate, he was so sure of himself he went out and bought a deep chest freezer (used, from his sister).

He didn’t get any deer. His friend told me he hit some trees and made a lot of birds fly.

I flew too.  Off the handle.  He spent close to $700 on the whole thing and I didn’t even get a postcard to eat. So I told him we have four kids to feed and no money.  What are ya gonna do about that, Crocodile Hunter???

He said no problem, that he’d already figured it out. He’s going to Car Title Loans in Arab, which he found on the Internet. He got a $700 loan on that old truck and no one went hungry.  He’s paying it off gradually – and I’m sure to tell him when i serve spam loaf that it’s just like venison.

Car Title Loans in Albertville saved this Auburn fan

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

It takes 3,000 cows to supply the NFL with enough leather for a year’s supply of footballs. I’m OK with that.  Go Aggies!  Yeah Auburn!  Go Tampa Bay! Not to mention all those ribeye steaks.

But between my cable bill and tickets every few weeks to go watch college or professional football, I reckon I spend about $3000 a year on football as a spectator.  That’s one dollar for every cow who dies. I generally drive to all the games, and that’s why when I had car problems back in September, I knew I had to get it fixed.

I was running short, way short, on money then and didn’t have the cash to pay the mechanic. So I went online, ventured off the ESPN website, and found my way to Car Title Loans in Albertville.  They looked at (online) my car model and year and decided it was worth the $1400 I needed to fix it. That was a relief, especially because they got me my cash in two days. That was in time to fix it and for me to drive to Auburn that weekend.

You can’t stop a great football team and a great football team fan.  Even if you’re a cow.
